Today’s Verse
“For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.”
Colossians 3:3
The Life No One Sees
We live most of our lives on the surface, the version everyone can see. The job title. The social media presence. The roles we play. The image we project. And we exhaust ourselves trying to manage how we’re perceived, constantly curating, performing, protecting our reputation.
But Paul tells us something radical: “Your life is now hidden with Christ in God.” Your real life, the one that actually matters, isn’t the public version. It’s the hidden one. Concealed with Christ in the Father. Completely secure.
This is liberating. Your worth isn’t determined by what people think. Your identity isn’t shaped by success or failure in the world’s eyes. Your value isn’t measured by likes or achievements. Because your real life isn’t out there exposed to judgment, it’s hidden where no opinion can touch it.
Being hidden doesn’t mean you’re invisible or unimportant. It means your true self is protected. The deepest parts of who you are, your identity, your worth, your belovedness, are tucked away in the safest place imaginable. With Christ. In God. Beyond the reach of criticism, rejection, or the pressure to prove yourself.
You don’t live in the spotlight, anxiously managing perceptions. You live in the secret place, known fully by God, secure in Christ, free from needing to be seen by everyone else.
Today, stop trying so hard to be visible. Your real life is already seen, by the only One whose opinion matters. And it’s hidden with Christ in God, perfectly safe.
Today’s Prayer
Lord, thank you that I am hidden with Christ in God, doubly secure, protected not just by being in Christ but by Christ Himself being in God, layers of safety I can’t fully comprehend.
This isn’t just being covered or sheltered but being hidden, concealed, tucked away in the safest place imaginable, with Christ, in God.
Teach me what it means to be hidden with Christ, that I share His hiding place, that where He is secure, I am secure, that we’re hidden together in the Father.
Being hidden with Christ in God means my life isn’t on display for the world to judge or circumstances to define, but concealed in the secret place of the Most High.
Help me live from this hidden place, not striving to prove myself or expose myself to every opinion, but secure in the knowledge that my true life is protected, hidden with Christ.
Remind me that what’s hidden with Christ in God cannot be touched by accusation, condemnation, or the enemy’s attacks, that I’m as safe as Christ Himself is safe.
Give me peace in the hiddenness, not needing everyone to see or understand me, content to be known fully by God and hidden securely with Christ in Him.
Let me rest today in this reality, that I am hidden with Christ in God, doubly secure, completely protected, safe in the most secure place that exists.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
