Philippians 1:6·WEB Translation
Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Still Being Written
You're not a finished product. You're a work in progress. And the Author of your story hasn't put down His pen. It's easy to look at where you are and assume this is all there is, that the failures define you, that the setbacks are final, that the closed doors mean the end.
But God doesn't write stories the way we do. He includes plot twists we never saw coming. He redeems chapters we thought were wasted. He turns page after page long after we assumed the story was over.
The truth is, you're living in the middle of the book, not at the end. And middle chapters are messy. They're full of tension and uncertainty and moments where you can't see how things will possibly resolve. But that's exactly where transformation happens. That's where character develops. That's where the best part of the story is being set up.
Today, whatever makes you feel like you've reached the end, whether it's regret, disappointment, or just sheer exhaustion, remember this: God isn't finished. He's still shaping you, still refining you, still preparing you for what's ahead. Your story isn't over. There are pages yet to be written, and the God who holds the pen is faithful to finish what He started.
Prayer
Lord, my story isn't over, God isn't finished yet, and what looks like an ending is just a chapter in a story You're still writing, still shaping, still developing.
I'm tempted to close the book on myself, to think this is as good as it gets, that nothing will change, that the best chapters are behind me, but You're not done.
Teach me that unfinished stories have potential for plot twists, for redemption arcs, for unexpected turns that change everything, and my story is still being written by You.
You aren't finished yet with my life, my character, my healing, my growth, my purpose, and what feels like failure or ending isn't the conclusion of my narrative.
Help me hold onto hope when I want to give up, to believe that the Author of my story knows exactly where it's going even when I can't see past today's page.
Remind me that You specialize in resurrections, in bringing life from death, in writing beautiful endings from devastating middles, in redeeming stories that looked hopeless.
Give me patience with the process, trust in Your timing, faith that what You've started You will complete, that my story continues because You're not finished writing it.
Let me live today with hope that my story isn't over, God isn't finished yet, and the best chapters might still be ahead.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
